SERVPRO Assists The Mt. Sinai Apartment Community

After Hurricane Matthew, SERVPRO helped repair the Mt. Sinai Apartment Community.
 
From the outside, now the Mt. Sinai Apartments in North Raleigh look like a normal suburban community. However, the apartment complex was one of many that suffered damage during Hurricane Matthew. As the pictures, show the water got so deep, cars were almost completely under water! The flooding provided water that was so deep only the last couple feet of street signs were showing.
 
The Mt. Sinai community in Raleigh is a federally-subsidized, 104-unit complex that received damage to nearly half of the building. The 104 units suffered 3 feet of flood damage amounting to $1.4 million in damages. The community was forced to be vacant for a year during the reconstruction process.
 
In many of the units, our SERVPRO technicians were forced to remove all of the building materials down to the studs. The demolition procedures included removing carpet, drywall, and cabinetry.
 
After the work concluded, the occupants of the apartment complex were pleased with the work that had been done. "The apartments looked excellent, and we're satisfied with the work performed. I would recommend SERVPRO," said Sheila, resident/onsite manager.
 
As you can see, after the reconstruction process, the apartment units look brand new. Shiny hardwood floors and freshly hung and finished drywall decorate the structure. Both the kitchen and the bathroom look like they belong inside a newly constructed home.
 
Our SERVPRO team worked on the project from start to finish. We first mitigated all of the water damage by removing all ruined materials and drying out structural components. We then completed the entire reconstruction process. As a part of this project we had to hang drywall, replace doors, install fixtures, redo electrical wiring, redo plumbing, and install flooring materials. At the very end, we conducted a final post-construction cleaning process as we always do.
